It looks like the gaffer got someone he’s wanted for a while. Fulham midfielder Hameur Bouazza has been signed on a season long loan from Fulham. He’s been at Charlton, and has scored four goals for the year.

Blues boss Alex McLeish said of Bouazza’s arrival: “I’ve looked at him for a couple of years now and I had him on the radar at Rangers. I thought he was a promising young player; quick, direct, knows the English system and can do a job when team work is required.” (courtesy of the BCFC website).
What can he bring to the Blues? Well, obviously scoring and another warm body for the Blues. It’s always good to have players come down a level who have had Premiership experience. But now, it causes players to be reshuffled and maybe some feelings being hurt.
Also from the club’s website: “He will not be eligible for the FA Cup as he played for Charlton against Norwich on Saturday and he is also currently walking a suspension tightrope on four bookings – one more caution before the last day in February will incur a one match ban.”
