So basically, Blades get three goals? Ugh. I’m glad I couldn’t find this on any form yesterday. I probably would have thrown something, or a lot of things. As I have said before, I want the Blues to go up this year. Its not fun being down in the Championship, but it’s not like Leeds being down in the old third division. I’m sorry, but that still makes me laugh.
So what did Alex say in the post match presser? (as always from the club’s website): “There’s no accounting for what happened with the goal because from the long diagonal they are clearly offside.
“But what happened next is certainly a concern for me, the defenders fell asleep for the second ball and that’s a problem, especially with the experience we have in the back-four.
“After we managed to get back into the game, it was just such a soft penalty, I think you’d get ten penalties and a thousand fouls in a game if that was considered a foul and I don’t know why he had to give it.”
So what’s good coming out of this match? Well other than still being second in the table, nothing.
What’s gotta get better? a lot, in order to go up, the defenders need to play better, and not worry about the refs.
